Rodolfo Saragoni: Civil Engineer from the University of Chile, Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles, and Professor of Civil Engineering at University of Chile's Facultad de Ciencias Físicas y Matemáticas. Since his beginnings he has specialized in Earthquake Engineering, participating in different organizations such as the American Association of Earthquake Engineering, where he was president; and the South American Structural Engineers Association, as vice-president.
Chilean Association of Seismology and Earthquake Engineering
The Chilean Association of Seismology and Earthquake Engineering, ACHISINA, was created in 1963 as a consequence of the Mw 9.5 earthquake that occurred in southern Chile in 1960, and the interest of an outstanding group of national engineers and seismologists.
